Les effets donneurs diminuent l'acidité de la molécule comme avec les méthyles avec leur effet inductif donneur. Les effets attracteurs augmentent l'acidité de la molécule avec le chlore avec son effet inductif attracteur. Dans ce cas, c'est bien la même molécule mais seule la position du chlore change, le chlore étant plus proche de la fonction carboxylique, son effet inductif attracteur va alors augmenter et alors augmenter également l'acidité !
