La plaque choriale est constituée de tissus embryonnaires uniquement : mésenchyme extra embryonnaire + cytotrophoblaste + syncytiotrophoblaste

 

La plaque basale est constituée de tissus maternels ET embryonnaires : syncytiotrophoblaste et cytotrophoblaste (tissus embryonnaires) + couches compactes (decidua compacta) et spongieuses (decidua spongiosa) de la caduque basilaire (donc tissus maternels)
